Michelle Santos St Germaine, 43, passed on September 1st, 2020. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of Joaquim and Amelia Santos. Michelle grew up in Cumberland, RI before eventually settling down to North Attleboro in 2012.
Michelle taught kindergarten for 15 years in Providence after graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 2000. When not teaching, Michelle loved going to the beach with her family, dancing and watching General Hospital with her dog, Dez. Michelle was an active fundraiser for both the Gloria Gemma Foundation and Metavivor. Both are nonprofit organizations that focus on cancer patients’ quality of life and research for Stage IV cancer respectively.
She is survived by her son, Charlie and husband, Matthew. In addition she leaves both her parents, brother Jeffrey and multiple cousins both in U.S and Portugal (she is citizen of both).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 5th at 10am outdoors at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland, RI. Attendees are asked to bring their own seating. Private burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Only 15 family members are allowed during the health crisis.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, September 4th from 5pm until 8pm in the Keefe funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. www.thekeefefuneralhome.com.
Michelle had requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation to Metavivor would be a preferred gesture.
